Sterling Edge performs light laser cutting for a variety of clients in different industries. Laser cutting involves directing a laser beam at a material and burning, melting, or vaporizing the material until a clean edge has been created. We can perform laser cutting on surfaces up to 60 inches by 120 inches.
Why Use Laser Cutting?
Many companies need parts for their products, and the only way those parts can be created with the necessary precision is to use a laser. Because a laser creates an edge that is highly finished, the quality of the end parts will be more precise than parts cut with other industrialized machinery.
When a company needs parts with a sharp finish, either for functional or aesthetic purposes, using a laser to perform the cutting is often the best option.
What Material can be Laser Cut?
Our laser is extremely versatile in the materials it can cut. If your product part is made of plastic, organic material, or many varieties of wood, our laser will prove highly capable of completing the task.
Also, we know that not everyone knows exactly what their product will look like when complete. We are happy to work with you to design your products using our software (we provide an estimate for this service). However, if you have a CAD or Vector file, we can easily accommodate your vision and create the product to your exact specifications.
Various Production Run Sizes
While we have the capabilities to create huge production runs for larger companies, we also work with smaller shops to create more specialized products with smaller production runs. Don’t automatically assume your run size won’t fit into our parameters. Just give us a call, and we’ll guide you through your options. We offer the fastest turnaround times in the area and will shoot you straight with timeline estimates.
If you need something laser cut, you can’t find a more capable, hospitable operation than Sterling Edge. Give us a call to talk about your specification, or feel free to email your CAD file. We’re happy to help you along with every step of the process.
